Our school

Established in 1988, Dodges Ferry Primary School enjoys an outstanding physical setting, nestled in a bush environment by the beaches and wetlands of Frederick Henry Bay in south east Tasmania.

In 2017 we have around 450 students from Kinder to Grade 6.

Our classroom teachers are supported by specialist teachers to provide an enriched and stimulating learning environment including art, music, drama and sport. A school guidance officer, school social worker, language pathologist and school chaplain are also available to support teachers, students and parents.

Our social skills program involves all students and staff in weekly lessons on agreed values and beliefs which are reinforced and applied in everyday activities.

And we are very proud of the close bonds between the local community and the school.
